Roof Top Rescue The High Adventures of Sara The Pineapple Cat By Anne Louise Pemberton Illustrated By Katherine Sandalls
Sara is called the Pineapple Cat because of her yellow fur the color of pineapple. Sara lives with David and Susan and enjoys her stuffed pink elephant named pinky.
Sara the Pineapple Cat follows Susan into the yard. She feels the warm sun on her fur, looks around at the flowers and bees. Soon she tires of the garden and sets out on an adventure. She climbs the trellis, as cats are famous for, she can climb up but not down. For a while, Sara the Pineapple Cat enjoys her "Roof Top Adventure," until she can't find a way to get down.
Will Sara have to live on the roof, only watching her family from a distance? Will Susan hear her desparate 'Mews' for help? Will they have to call the fire department?
Children and adults will enjoy reading "Roof Top Rescue, The High Adventures of Sara, the Pineapple Cat." This is the first in a series, and I hear the second book has just arrived. This is a book your children will want to read again and again.
Note: there are now 3 books in this series. Look for Stowaway: The San Francisco Adventures of Sara the Pineapple Cat, by Jill Ammon Vanderwood. Available soon!
